Housing and Meals

HOUSING AT NYU

Accommodations in Student Residence Halls are available. Space is limited. Preference will be given to individuals who reserve by March 30th. After that date, confirmations will be made on space available basis.  Dorm rooms are air conditioned with internet hookup and linens supplied. ALL DORM ROOMS ARE SHARED WITH ONE OTHER STUDENT. You can find out the latest information on the NYU Summer Guiitar Page.  If you need further information please contact The Guitar Intensive Staff.

MEALS AT NYU

A meal plan is also available and cost varies each year. NYU servers 3 meals a day cafeteria style so you can stock up if you get my drift. You will get 10 meals a week so you can choose whether that meal is breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is no food served on weekends. NYC is an expensive town but if you know where to go you can easily eat 3 meals a day for 20.00. Between China Town, Falafel joints and cheap morning breakfasts at deli's you will find the Village and ChinaTown to be good choices. All of this is within walking distance.

CHECK IN FOR HOUSING

Students will be staying in one of the many NYU Dorms.  Pictured below is Goddard Hall a representive sample of a NYU Dorm room. All dorms are within walking distance of the Intensive. There probably isn't a better place to stay in New York than right on the beautiful Washington Square Park. You are close to everything. About 25 places to hear music in a 5 block radius around your dorm. It's completely safe with a vibrant day and night life. Students can check into NYU housing on the Sunday before the intensive and you will have to leave the dorms on the Friday after the Intensive is finished.
