Courses

A wide range of courses are offered at the NYU Summer Guitar Intensive. You can attend as many of the courses listed below as you want but you must have the text for the course in order to participate. You can take these courses for credit or non-credit.  All 2 hour courses will have a one hour lecture followed by a select number of students rehearsing with one of the great musicians of New York City.  This rehearsal will be with one or two students only each day and a sign up sheet will be provided for sign up.  Pete and Bruce will also be giving a private lesson during this rehearsal time to each student.  The rest of the students will have an hour practice period.  New York musicians rely heavily on sight reading skills.  It is highly recommended you begin reading out of the New York Guitar Method Ensemble books as soon as you have been accepted into the program.
