of One Note ear training exercises, this time using the sounds
of a variety of instruments. Prior to the release of this
series, students only had access to files using the sound of a
piano. While using the sound of a piano does develop great
contextual ear training skills there is often a period of
transition as the ear applies these skill to different
instruments. Although this problem usually resolves itself
as the ear training is applied to real musical situations, this
instrumental color series speeds up this transitional time,
while giving students more variety in their daily ear training
regimen. As has been stressed numerous times, the
"context" that you learn in greatly affects the outcome.
