Major Modes through all 3 note combinations in all keys
420 pages.
By Bruce Arnold
There are 22 scales or modes that are commonly used in contemporary
music. This book presents you with the three note modal sequences
in every key for the modes of Major. Modal sequencing is a common
way to learn scales
through melodic patterns. These patterns will help you find new
ways of playing each scale and greatly aid in the memorization of all
scales in all keys.
This book is for any
instrumentalist. These scales include:
• Ionian.
• Dorian
• Phrygian.
• Lydian.
• Mixolydian.
• Aeolian.
• Locrian.
If you need a better understanding of the modes
presented it is recommended that you work with the “Essential
Scales” book to better understand the application of all
scales. Below are some general ideas for learning scales.
Much of this information is also in the “Essential
Scales” book. It is recommended that you play these
scales over vamps so that you hear the scale in the proper key.
You will find free vamps in the member’s area
of the muse-eek. Learn the scales using the “Long Line
Rhythm “ concept which is presented of the following pages. This
will greatly help you speed and accuracy. I also recommend
working with the digital download:
