BACK COVER

The New York Guitar Method is a series of books for any guitar student seeking to become a professional musician. Each level in the series is composed of a theory and an ensemble book. Each book covers specific subjects important to a student's development into a professional musician.

The New York Guitar Method is used at New York University and is a required text at both NYU's Undergraduate Program along with New York University's Summer Guitar Intensive Program.

The New York Guitar Ensemble Book One contains exercises to develop facility with eighth and sixteenth note rhythms. Other exercises include reading on one string to develop fretboard knowledge and recognition of notes on a staff. Arrangements for four guitars using the jazz standard "Rhythm Changes" are provided for ensemble practice. Chord progressions and written solos are also included. These exercises allow students to play and accompany each other.

The Muse-Eek Publishing Company believes the education of a student shouldn't stop with the purchase of a book, therefore our website, www.muse-eek.com offers a free "member's area" where students can download files specific to this book and many other help files to further their education.
