INSIDE FLAP

Learning the language of music is imperative to becoming a professional musician who can communicate intelligently with other musicians. More importantly, applying this knowledge to your instrument will give you the ability to create music with greater flexibility, coherence, and confidence. In order to help you apply the information presented in this book I've created a small booklet that can be downloaded for free at the muse-eek.com website. This booklet gives you exercises specifically designed to help you apply the theory information to your instrument. The booklet can be found in the "member's area" at www.muse-eek.com. The "member's area" also contains other educational files which can help you in your musical studies.

Future volumes of this Music Theory Workbook series will cover scales and diatonic chords of a key both of which are very important to playing and understanding music. See the final pages of this book for a complete listing and description of current music related publications.

Muse Eek Publishing has created a website with a FAQ forum for all my books. If you have any questions about anything contained in this book feel free to contact me at FAQ@muse-eek.com and I will happy to post an answer to your question. My goal is to educate and help you reach a higher degree of musical ability.

A very special thank you goes to Tina Sobin for her patient and meticulous work in editing this book.
